if you accept the GB OTA, you'll have to wait until those methods (files) are updated to work with the new version of the OS
No one knows yet.
umm, yeah, seems like everything just points toward root first and wait until teamBAMF and other XDA devs update their ROMs with the official GB build.
If you definitely want to root i dont see why you would wait to get GB from Verizon when it's already available with root thru developement, and when the ota comes out it will be assimilated into future rom-builds probably before the ota hits not-rooted phones.
And the ota COULD contain something that makes this root method ineffective.
There are a few minor bugs on the GB Roms but most of them do have fixes, I rarely get any FC issues. I think what you get in return (no reboots, netflix, sense 3.0) out weigh any of the small bugs.
Now that GB Bamf is out of beta (bamf 2.1) it is very stable.
The sense 3.0 RC2 is less stable, but is good enough to use every day if you tolerate some small issues.
And the bugs are always being worked out quickly - bamf team is on fire.
You mean minor like the camera not working?
Really though, that sucks. Any fixes for the camera on BAMF+Sense3.0 that I'm overlooking? I haven't been able to find anything >.<
The ROM itself is great, but Idk if I can go Camera-less for very long. :-\
My camera works on bamf sense 3 rc2 and the front facing camera works if you disable widescreen or something.
Oh, see my camera isn't working at all. I take a picture, and the app just dies. It sits frozen at the point where you're viewing the picture you just took and sits that way until you hit the home button (tapping the screen and hitting back don't work) to leave the app. It doesn't save the picture either, sadly. =/
Edit: However I just tried using my camcorder for the first time since installing this ROM. I assumed it wouldn't work since it's essentially an extension to the camera. But it works just fine. Still no sound though... Haha
