lets say i flash MIUI, and dont like the way it runs or something, and i decide to flash SSM or vortex, all i have to do is just go into clockwork and wipe cache, and data and then flash the new rom?
I have never used MIUI, but isnt it based on .340 or is it based on .602 just has to be flashed via .340?
If you flash MIUI, and decide to install another GB based ROM, I would recommend using the SBF method and going back to stock .602 first. It will make sure your starting fresh, and with the correct hardware and firmware to use SSM or Vortex.
You asked which one between SSM or Vortex is better, and I cant answer that because I have not tried Vortex yet. I know its the developers first ROM, and is very similar to SSM-602 v.3 in the sense that it uses GB and retains some blur functions. I'm sure they are equality as fast and good on battery life. Until more people start testing Vortex we wont know which is better.
I am very happy with SSM-602 v.3 and it has everything from Stock GB that I like, and has replaced other things that are not as good. I love ADW Launcher, and will use that on pretty much any ROM I flash.
are there different kernels you can flash? i know on my bro's fascinate you can flash a few different kernels and was just wondering if you can do the same to the x..or do most of the roms have them built in?
