Hi

Kind of new to this android arena. I am wanting to root my phone to do the voodoo lagfix. Will that prevent me from getting OTA? More specifically 2.2. Any recommendations or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Itz is correct. Rooting your phone will prevent you from getting the 2.2 OTA. You will have to unroot the phone, rename any bloat ware apks back if you renamed them and remove the Voodoo lagfix.

running voodoo is the real kicker, you will want to revert to the stock filesystem for sure before running any kind of update that makes changes to the kernel or /data

Thanks... I am hoping it would be the an easy one. With 2.2 supposedly being pretty close, I am just going to wait it out. I don't want to go through rooting and unrooting, sounds hard for newbie.

I guess I'm lucky my phone refuses to be rooted...

Hopefully 2.2 gets here soon..
