Rooting Help

Hi all,

I'm really hoping I didn't brick my nook. So I powered down and installed the sd card with the flashed rooter file on it. I plugged in the usb to my computer and to the nook and my computer found the new hardware. The nook then turned on and showed the nook dev load screen and booted into the nook homescreen. This is not how the instructions said it would happen. So, I turned off my nook and took the card out. Then it wouldn't boot up. Suggestions?


Edit: Got it to boot. No wireless though. Weird.

Edit: Got it to boot. No wireless though. Weird.

Rooting shouldn't affect wireless. You know to go into settings to turn it on, right?

The wireless problem was from the my router not the nook. Sorry about. Angry Birds looks awesome on this thing! Now I just need to get everything possible onto this device.

Also, is battery life affected after rooting?

... Only if you're doing things that use more battery than you would be non-rooted. Rooting alone shouldn't have any effect. If you use setcpu to speed it up, battery might drain a little faster when there screen is on, but, in my experience, not much--and the speed boost is well worth it.
