Hi everyone,
After wanting to root my Droid Razr (XT912) for months now I finally decided to take the plunge with the help of a few Droid Life readers. I followed their method and successfully rooted my device! However the people in the chat with me that helped me root failed to mention to me that it was CRITICAL that I make a backup if I ever wanted to flash / change any major files. So shortly after I rooted I was browsing the Play Store and found a Beats Audio installer which required root. I installed and launched this app and it did its thing however now that it is installed the sound is very low and my battery is having issues lasting for longer than 4 hours! I went to the help section of the app on how to remove the app and the drivers it installed but it just says restore from your previous backup which I never made a backup!

Is there any way out of this predicament? I was thinking maybe if someone had a backup of the original stock (rooted) ROM that they could send me I could just use it but looking online I have found nothing and what little I found was pre-ICS update. There was something about FastBoot but I honestly have no idea what that is and how I could go about using it to restore my device!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There are threads everywhere saying how to properly root and flash backups.....

Anyway, I thought you just installed it from Google play?
Can't you just uninstall it?

But you can just use option 1 in matts utility to get back to stock

The problem is I don't have a backup.....

I thought I could just uninstall it too until I read deeper into the description (and in the "About" tab of the app) that the App itself is just an installer and if you uninstall the app it will not affect the drivers, it will just remove the installer from the app drawer.

If you use the utility it gives you the choice to wipe data or save it. Paul attention because you just have to exit the program when it says to

Thank You so much @Carracerz14!

Sorry if I sounded like a complete noob but this is my first time (now second seeing as I had to fast boot and reroot) rooting ANY Android device! This is now my favorite site to visit when needing help because the wealth of knowledge is endless on here! This is why I love Android!

I now feel like I actually own MY device!
