Rooting LG G3 with a bad USB port (ie. no pc connection)

Hello, I would like to root my phone because I want to get newest Android. I currently am using an LG G3 that was on Verizon, but was factory reset and now runs Android 4.4.2 using Tracfone as the carrier. Is there anyway that I can root this phone without a connection to PC to get more access? I can't get the OTA update from Verizon anymore either because I now use Tracfone. And the plug seems to have a poor connection, it charges but that's it, and yes I checked the USB connection settings in the phone.

The ONLY way you can do that is to recompile Android - with su (it comes without su [the SuperSU "binary"]).

Assuming you have a valid rooting method for the G3 (I don't know if there is one or not), you have to use the USB port and a computer.
