Rooting Questions.

I'm not 100% sure what rooting my Hero would mean, but it is currentiy running 1.5 and I thought id tell you guys somethings I want to do, and maybe you can tell me if 4ooting will do It. I mostly want to remove some of the apps that I dont use from Sprint and htc, like some widgets and nfl apps and such, maybe helping me free up some ram. If rooting want do this, maybe someone can tell me what will. Thanks in advance.

yes, rooting and installing Icedhoneybun would do that as they are uninstallable on that rom. You cant do that with the stock rom.

Sorry for misspelling **** earlier, I was on my Hero and at work, and it's hard to type on that thing coming back from a BlackBerry. Alright, so I guess I'll root this thing this weekend. Maybe you can tell me which would be the best root to do or go with. Here's what I'd like to be able to do. I want Plain Ass Vanilla Android, no Sense, and I want to be able to delete ANYTHING I want, meaning those filler Sprint apps I mentioned earlier, and get the most out of the little RAM this thing has. Any suggestions or comments? Thanks.

Root is root, I don't think there is different kinds. Then pick up a launcher such as ADW or launcher pro from the market. Though to maximize your ram, you might consider flashing a new rom.

plain vanilla andoird wont have sprint or sense crap on it...

for plain vanilla android, you'll need to pick one of the roms from XDA, most of the ones on here have sense...

dont forget to make a nandroid and copy to your computer IMMEDIATLEY after booting to recovery!!! it will save your butt if you do something stupid!!!
