Does anyone know how to root a sprint gs3 without using a pc because the micro usb cord input on my s3 broke for some reason. I just want to root it i dont want to install mods or anything right now.

Probably. I think all of the root methods I have seen involve using Odin. Even if you did find one, Custom recoveries are most likely flashed through Odin as well, making flashing a ROM more difficult.

You can get Mobile Odin ($4.99) on the play store. Download the files you want to flash from you phone and flash them using Mobile Odin. Problem solved if you don't mind spending $5.

There's an exploit for Exynos devices, not Snapdragon. You'll need to use Odin. If your port is broken try and get it replaced or repaired. You'll need it to charge (unless your using a wireless charger) your phone.

I tried to get it repaired/replaced but the person that attempted to do it said it was impossible. I use an external battery charger to charge my phone.

Does it work at all? Sometimes pressing it at an angle will work.
