I've been trying to root my vibrant for a few days now with out success. I've downloaded and placed at least 4 rooting files, placed them all in the root folder of the phone, and attempted to install them. Each time it says there is no file named update.zip. Nothing has worked. I've tried to use at least three different one click methods, and none of them work for me either. I've downloaded drivers for my computer which is a 64 bit with windows 7, and then downloaded the .net 4.0, but that hasn't worked either. PLEASE HELP!!

Are you sure the zip is exactly named "update.zip" and is placed in the lowest folder on your internal memory, aka the "root directory"?

I believe so. I name it update.zip directly to the phone's directory without entering any files. It shows up on my computer and my file view on the phone. When I attempt to "reinstall packages" it says E:Can't open /sdcard/update.zip (No such file or directory)

If it shows up when you plug in your computer then you're probably saving it to your external memory. You need to save it to your internal memory.

I've been saving it to the larger of the two drives, the one with out avatar on it. I've been saving it to the "root" as I understand it, directly to the drive, and not in any folders.

Don't know which is the bigger and which is the smaller - but save it to both and try again.
