Might be pure speculation, but looks like Samsung will announce Gear 2 at MWC in Barcelona scheduled for Feb 24-27.
Hopefully not just going to be the health band announcement but rather a new and improved Gear watch. Also rumored to have a very cool organic light-emitting diode display. LG also getting into the wearable space and will announce something as well at MWC.
I know some are surprised by such an early second release, but knowing Samsung and having a bit of egg on their faces with the first release, they will get it right this time and literally have thousands working on getting it right.
I will wait less than 2 months to see what the conference brings to decide whether or not to purchase.
