Rumors in 3D...

OK, so today I was talking to a Radio Shack rep about the 3D, and he told me that they received a release today stating that Sprint will be offering $100 for your EVO 4G if you trade it in towards a 3D. I've also heard from "a Sprint marketing spokesman" (as he stated on the infectedrom chat) that Sprint will be offering all current EVO owners the 3D at upgrade pricing (so $199 again + a 2 year extension) kinda' sounds like they coinside a lil' bit... Wondering if anyone else has heard anything, and if any of it is of interesting, seeing as the 3D sounds like a 4G with upgraded guts, downgraded camera(s 2 5mpx still aren't as sexy as 1 8mpx) and a TON of gimmicks...

Thinking that a 8mp camera is oooh so much better.....well, that's just wrong, the optics in a camera that small don't do the 8mp justice, and lets face it, any real photographer is going to use a real camera, not a phone.

Yes we heard about getting 100 bucks if you trade in your Evo 4g, there is a thread about it in this forum.

Have not heard about everyone with a 4G getting the 199 pricing, but it is a possibility since everyone that bought the Evo 4G last June was supposed to be eligible again this June until they changed the rules and caused an uproar.

Ton of gimmicks? Like what? The 3d and what else? I find the physical camera button useful, I find the dual core processor useful, I find the added features of Sense 3.0 useful. What do you define as a "TON" of gimmicks?

I agree 100%. 16:9 aspect ratio and qHD aren't gimmicks. Twice the ram isn't a gimmick. You might think 3D is a gimmick, but i bet 3D games will be awesome.
