I just thought I would share my experience w/ Runkeeper and Moto360 not sure if it's been covered on here before but here is my thoughts.
I am a beginner/novice runner, I usually run indoors on my threadmill. However, I wanted to get a good feel for outdoor running while I was training for a 5k this weekend. First time I switched from threadmill to outdoor was a disaster. I was not able to finish my 5k, in terms of running the whole thing through, because I couldn't measure my pace. Long story short I was starting too fast and blowing all my energy on 1st half of the 5k.
I then downloaded Runkeeper because i wanted something that would help me track my pace. All I can say is wow, maybe because this is new to me, but this is just what I needed. The app is really nicely integrated with moto360. When you open the app on the moto360 you can start tracking your run w/ simple click of the start button and no need to mess w/ my phone..
It then tracks your Time, Pace and Mileage live on screen. This really helped me out I was able to shave off close to 3 minutes off my 5k time just by simply being able to watch my pace periodically.
