Running out of internal memory

Hello

I have an HTC one M8 with 16gb internal storage. I have a micros SD card too with 64GB. The problem I have is that the internal storage is running out even though most of my apps are on the SD card. Every time I update the apps however, they automatically move from the SD card back to the phone and then I have to move them back again one by one. I'm at the point now where I have to update one app at a time and move it to the SD card before I update the next app.

Is there anything I can do to stop this from happening? There are also apps I have like twitter and amazon which I never use but my phone won't let me delete them. Is there a way to get around this too?

Welcome to Android Central! I'm afraid that's how it works when you move an app to SD. Only a portion of the app moves, and in order to update, the app has to move back to the Phone Storage.

See if you can Disable those preinstalled apps, which can also save some space, because updated apps always take more space than the factory-installed versions. Go to Settings>Apps, select the app, and tap Disable. You might have to tap Uninstall first, which will uninstall all updates first -- then tap Disable.
