Running processes?

When I start the phone, I notice SEVERAL apps are running that shouldn't be starting. AT&T Navigator for instance, Google Voice, Getsure Search. Anyways Ive counted about 17 at start up and SEVERAL keep coming back up and its killing my battery. I used Advanced Task Killer to stop them but they all eventually come back up...

How can I stop this? And yes I know I can't uninstall my AT&T apps without rooting.

You can't....it's just how the OS runs....
