RUU and wireless tethering

I am assuming I already know the answer, but I figured I should ask it anyways.


If I load the RUU and go completely stock will it end the functionality of the wireless tethering apps until I do a root?

I am assuming the answer is yes, I would love to go back to stock, but its not worth losing the only wifi connection I carry around with me.

there are directions on XDA on how to use the update and root. You have to use the update they link to. I did it and now I have the best of both worlds.
