I really like how the inking works in s-note vs Evernote. It's really smooth and I really seems like I have more room to write for some reason. But I don't like how every note sort of creates it's own notebook.

Is there a way to just have notes outside of notebooks or whatever S-note calls them?

Umm, do you mean the look of it? S-Note creates notes individually, and while the cover it gives it does look like a Notebook, you can certainly give it a different look (either choose your own, or just choose not to have a cover). Only if you add a Category (folder) can you put different notes in there to be bundled together.

If you want quick, individual notes with a single page, then use Action Memos. They save to S-Note as well under the Action Memo category.

I need to explore that. I didn't know you could do notes without covers etc...

You can set the default cover for all notes when created as 'none' or change each one individually after they've been created. I don't mind the notebook look though. Actually, I think that's something that makes me steer away from Evernote haha.
