S Note Storage space issues ... please help?

So I get a storage space low notification and come to find out my 70 notes are using around 18 GB on my device drive. I bought a sd card but it looks like you cant move the app to external. I deleted around 20 notes on the app I no longer needed but to a bigger surprise i noticed no decrease in space usage!
Anyone else running into storage issues when using S note and what are some ways to fix ????

Settings menu in a note has backup option. You can use Google Drive and then delete them.

Ops; Didn't just see the Google Drive option; you can back them up to Evernote.
