This is my first experience with the S-pen on a phone. Last week, I started to play with an S-pen that came with my Samsung Tab 6 Lite that I forgot I had until I decided to go for the S22.

If there are any others out there who are experiencing this S-Pen for the first time, I highly recommend this video. (In fact, I also recommend his videos on how to use the camera app. But that would be for a different thread.)

For example, I had no idea there is a feature to alert you, on the phone, if you leave your S-pen laying around and walk away.

Thank you for posting this video!

There are some people who never use their S-Pen, but not me! I use the S-Pen probably every other day. I mostly use to snap pictures, screen write, and write on screen and Samsung Notes. Oh, and I use for my coloring app--much easier to color than using my fingers.

The SPen is what has kept me getting every Note since the Note3. I have become so used to it that I don't want to even consider using a device without one...including tablets. I use it to magnify, translate at work, edit PDFs, draw on photos, selfies, group pics, volume...I need that SPen!

In the past, I would show my Husband things the SPen could do & he would smile & nod his head.

Now that he has a s22U with his own SPen, I think he is beginning to see the appeal. It's the hands on experience...

:) :)

I didn't start until the Note 9. But since then, I have had to have my s-pen. I don't think I use it as much as should, but for the times I do use it, I can't imagine not having it.

It doesn't hurt that it comes in the best Android phones and tablets every year too!

I also can't imagine a phone without an S-Pen. One of my favorite features is writing down a phone number and then clicking the little phone icon that pops up when you hover over the number so that I can directly call the number.

Like many this will be my first experience with the S-Pen. I've seen a handful of features in tips and tricks videos that seem interesting and possibly useful for me. Listening to former Note series users talk about the S-Pen reminds me of Apple users talking about iMessages, Face ID or Face Time, like something that if it went away they would consider not upgrading or moving to another manufacturer. Just curious how it will find me...
