S Pen - Smart Select & Image Clip

Can anyone give examples of how to effectively use these features and help me understand the difference between the two?

Smart Select - you can select an area of your screen and it can extract the text in that area for you and save it as a note.

Image Clip - allows you to select all or part of an image on your screen and save it.

Android Central homepage as an example...

Use smart select on the "from the editors desk" graphic to have the text extracted and saved as a note

Use image clip to select Lloyd and only Lloyd by drawing a circle around him and then selecting "transform into auto shape"... Use the + and - buttons to add or remove areas that were incorrectly auto selected.
