S Voice help

So I cannot for the life of me get S Voice to dial a contact. What is weird is it seems to recognize what I'm saying, but its not searching. I'll say call John Doe and it will read "call john doe" then "I don't see a matching contact to call." Is there some setting I need to turn on or off here? Because it's processing what I'm saying correctly, it's just not actually searching the contacts.

I can't get it to work from the Google search either. I say call john and it tries to call a local business with the name john in it. If I say call john doe, it says contact not found.

Any ideas?

Just to clarify, have you tried using Google's Voice Search? That's always work flawlessly for me.

Yes that's exactly what I'm using - the Google Voice Search.

I fixed it myself. The one contact I couldn't get it to work with had an oddly formatted number that had imported from Facebook which worked fine when I was just selecting him to call. I just added the number through a gmail contact, set it as the default, and it works perfectly. Both s-voice and google. Hooray!
