S10 fast charge switching to regular charging since last update.

hi,
i have s10 with the latest android 9 update. What happened recently is that once i connect original cable + samsung charger it show Fast charging and after few second/minutes (2-3) phone switches to Cable charging. I thought its cable / charger issue so i tried other that worked fine and same behavior.

Also i have original wireless charger and if i place phone on it show fast charging and after few seconds it switches to charging, then its disconnected light changes from blue to green and charging switches from fast to normal ... and charging is kind of restarted....

its never ending story... is that a HW issue? I cant believe/understand that.

The S10 latest update is Android 10. That aside, I'm confused. Where are you seeing the device is no longer fast charging when connected via cable?
In relation to wireless charging, again, the same question. Also, when charging the light is blue, when fully charged the light turns green so I'm not sure why you are finding the charge rate is changing

I know but i assume proper charging should work either with 9 or v10.

Once i connect device via cable it shows on display Fast charging, after few second / minutes (max 1-2min) it shows Cable charging.

Regarding to the wireless charging it looks like cable was not plugged correctly into the wireless charger.

Go in safe mode and monitor the charging see if it does the same

Yes , monitor it there for a few see if same .

ok and to safely boot phone in safe mode, how can i do that? is that safe? nothing will be removed etc from the phone? thanks

Definitely safe it's a diagnostic tool built into the phone , will disable all 3rd party apps until you restart the phone

When the screen message changes go to settings / Device Care / battery. Is the fast charging slider in the on position?

Hi, I am getting the same problem, my S10+ just stopped fast charging after that update. I went through cleaning port, changing cables, fast charging setting off/on, restart phone, wipe cache partition, still no fast charging.
The same cable works fine with other phones in the house, just 10+ is having issues. Any suggestions?

Hi, thanks for quick reply. Yes I have also tried safe mode. I think it might be faulty port. I tried to clean it with wooden tooth pick, but that did not help.

I bought it on pre order so its over 1 year old now, so not sure about warranty.
I have it insured, but I dont think that it worth 50£ excess i would have pay for making a claim.

I did not see any dirt in there, but I had a message some time ago about moisture detected. That makes me think, maybe there is some kind of grease there which is blocking cable to fully connect.

Yeah definitely try use can of compressed air see if it helps
