S10 Plus-Finger Print Scanner Works Great Or Does't Work Well???

Love the phone but fingerprint scanner works or doesn't.
Very aggravating. Yes I see posts but seems like it works well with some. Looks like a fix from Samsung but have AT&T-did not see update and have less than 13 days to return.
Any suggestions?

UPDATE- I just checked setting in biometerics and checked security updates 5 minutes after posting this and GO Figure-the update was available! it was. I am updating as we speak and will check it out with original fingerprint settings & new ones. Give me 10 minutes!

Well....Works 100% better. I kept fingerprints I had and works on first try.
With screen off works on first try! Looks like that was issue.
FYI-Still have my screen protector on.
Not as fast as note ( but easier to use and fast enough!

Now have to find out why the animation around front camera is not working!

As far I know it's by the software to do that and only happens when switching between front and rear camera
