Does anyone know where on the S10 the HALL sensors are for a smart cover? From what I can tell, there are 2.
One to detect the phone is in a smart Case, and another to detect when the screen cover is closed.
I keep looking at this in the unanswered threads. I tried looking something up on this days ago but didn't have any luck. I guess the only way to know is to buy one, verify it works and then examine the case. My question is why does it matter? Not in a snippy kind of way, I just mean is there a reason this specific information is important? Are you trying to make your own case or fool your device into behaving as if it has one of these cases?
You joined which means you get notifications when someone responds to your thread, Oh and while we're talking about that, Welcome to Android Central. I promise folks are a lot more responsive around here, it's just your question isn't a common one. I'm not saying it would help but perhaps you could check out the S10 & S10+ Cases & Accessories threads. Perhaps there you could find someone talking about this style of case that could examine theirs and report back. This link will take you there... https://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-s10-s10-plus-cases-accessories/
Thanks for the reply. I do have a goal in mind yes. I use an OtterBox holster and would like to position thin magnets in the correct locations for the screen to "wake up" and be ready for my thumb when I remove it from the holster.
