My S2 tablet randomly slows down to a crawl from time to time, requires a restart to restore normal speed. This happens with various apps in use, so it is not one app causing the problem.

I have ample memory available, even so, I deleted all non-essential items, no improvement.

Software is up to date. Rebooting resolves slowness for a random amount of time, seemingly increasingly less time

Does it slow down in Safe Mode as well? https://www.t-mobile.com/support/de...-tab-s2-t817t/safe-mode-samsung-galaxy-tab-s2

That tablet uses eMMC for its internal storage, which tends to be slower than UFS, and also tends to get even slower with time, because my understanding is that eMMC can deteriorate faster than UFS based on the number of total read-write operations.

Considering how old and out-of-date the Tab S2 is, it may be time to consider a newer device.
