S20+ August update

I had a S20+ bought unlocked from best buy USA (Model # SM-G986U1) and used in Xfinity Mobile. I got the last update on 7/27 ( Build # G986U1UEU1ATG2). I had to leave the USA and popped in an Airtel Indian sim and have been using it. I didn't get the August security update and checking for updates doesn't show one. Guess the change in carrier is messing up the update check. Is there any way to get the August security update and the next updates without flashing software or is it not possible? I did try removing the sim and checking for updates after restarting phone but didn't get any update notification.

I have a windows laptop and haven't done flashing so far. So any instructions and help to do flashing without risk of bricking the phone is very much appreciated. This is the only phone I have and hence don't wanna risk bricking. I wouldn't return to the USA any time soon and hence wanna keep the phone up to date.

I have the same phone purchased directly from Samsung. I am on T-mobile. There has Not been an August security update yet. I am wondering if it has something to do with the stand alone 5g issues they are having with phones that did get the update recently. This seems really late compared to previous updates in the past. Sammobile does not list a recent firmware for this phone either.

The XAA firmware currently available is the older TG2 update for the Samsung Galaxy S20+, SM-G986U1

XAA = USA (unbranded/unlocked/default)

I'd rather wait than download one that might not be correct. Has anyone with an unlocked version gotten the update for August yet?

Not yet. Wonder if they skipped this month.

Ditto. Same phone and situation. Nothing here yet either. Wonder if there is a glitch with stand alone 5G? Glad mine is still working great!

August updated just came in. Check to see if you have it.

My 5G finally at 100mbps, but don't really needed it lol.

Finally got the August security update with One UI 2.5 today.
