I've seen a few threads about this from earlier in the year but I want to see if Samsung has addressed the issue. I still use an S8+ because it had a physical proximity sensor which worked perfectly, however I'm sure you know with the S10 and on they began using a virtual/software based proximity sensor. Last year I returned my S10 as nearly every call I made, the screen would not shut off when placed to my head while on a call (and sometimes not turn back on when removed from the ear), causing my cheek to hit the mute or speakerphone button. I tried a half dozen things and nothing worked, and I've seen a lot of complaints from other users of the same issue so it wasn't specific to my device. I've seen some similar complaints with the S20 which makes it seem like they're using the same technology put into the S10, but I want to hear from others about their experience. With the Black Friday sales coming up I'm tempted to upgrade, but will not if they still haven't figured it out this issue after a year or two. I have to imagine the S21/S30 (whatever they decided to call it) will continue down the same path. I'm used to Samsung phones but I may need to look at another brand. Thanks.
