Have you tried restarting or have you tried it in safe mode to see if a third party app is csuding conflicts with the camera.

Restart yes, safe mode no. What's the protocol for that?
If the camera works normally in safe mode it is probably a third party app.

If still does it in safe mode then it's probably hardware or corrupt software. At that point I would try a factory reset which resets your device to the state it came out of the box. Make you sure you back up any important files or settings.

How to boot into Galaxy S20 Safe Mode when powered up

The first method to boot into safe mode works when your Galaxy S20 is powered up.

Press down and hold on the power button until you see the power off icon.

Press and hold on the power off icon until you see the Safe Mode icon.

Tap on the Safe Mode icon and the Galaxy S20 will begin going into that mode.

At this point the phone should come on again and you should see a Safe mode indicator at the bottom left side of the screen. To exit Safe Mode, follow the first step above to restart the phone normally.

How to boot into Safe Mode when powered down

If the phone is powered down and you want to put it in Safe Mode, here’s what you should do with the Galaxy S20:

Press and hold on the power button. The phone should vibrate and you should see the “Samsung Galaxy S20” logo screen.

Release the power button and then, while the “Samsung Galaxy S20” logo screen is still visible, press and hold on the volume down button.

Keep holding onto the volume down button until you see the home screen with the Safe Mode indicator at the bottom left side of the screen.

Like before, to leave Safe Mode simply restart your phone by holding the power button and restarting normally.

Haven't had the camera crash yet and I've used it non stop since the 4th. I took over a 100 pictures alone yesterday.

I had EXACTLY that same problem with my previous Samsung S9 phone and posted about this issue last year. Here's a link to my thread, see below. I was never able to diagnose the problem because it happened randomly. Only way I resolved the problem was by trading in the phone for a new Samsung Note 10+. I've never had the same camera problem with my Note 10+ phone.

I don't know anyone in the forums has reported it except for the OP. Since the OP hasn't gotten back to me, we don't know whether it cleared up or they exchanged/returned the device.

Actually just found this video and made me think the issue the OP mentioned or at least the update mentioned sounds like it could be focused to the Exynos chipped owners since he also mentions poorer battery life, performance throttling due to WAY higher heat over the snapdragon chip and even says the camera performance is slightly lower compared to the snapdragon.

Does the OP have a Exynos Ultra?

A few generations ago I felt the US Samsung's got screwed with poorer performance over the Exynos but the Exynos seems to be the weaker of the two.

Don't know....the OP has stopped responding

That battery drain with Exynos compared to snapdragon... Made me think... Probably another reason they didn't give 120hz at QuadHD. The snapdragon might handle the drain at 120hz but the Exynos owners would be in pain at 120hz along with more heat and throttling.

Don't know....but if the 120hz drain was only a Exynos concern then we might have had Quad HD on the Snapdragon. We have seen exclusive features to one variant vs the other in the past.
