S20 Ultra Phone Calls Problem

I must be doing something very basically wrong. I'm on ATT with an unlocked S20 Ultra.

If I am talking on a phone call and another call comes in, I am unable to answer the incoming call while still on the original call

I hit the answer button and a window comes up asking if I want to answer the incoming call, among other choices. I press the answer the call choice, but it goes nowhere and remains connected to the original call.

What do I need to do to answer that incoming call while already on another call? Can somebody point me to being able to answer an incoming call while already on another call? Hopefully, the answer is some simple error that I'm doing. TIA!
 
I honestly don't take many calls, much less have two at the same time. LOL. You're with AT&T and I'm with Verizon and I know some times options, settings and features can be changed by the carrier. I found the thread below that has an option and directions for how to enable call waiting on Samsung devices on Android 9 and above. I don't have the option listed on my S20+, but like I was saying perhaps you will being with AT&T...? It's from the Samsung jokes, oops, I meant forums, which are a joke. Sorry did I type that out loud? Anyway not sure if it will help but...

One other thing to consider would be that some services have to be turned on or enabled by the carrier. It seems odd that they would allow a call to come through and then prevent you from accepting it, but I've had issues with unlocked devices on Verizon that I had to go through them to have resolved. This could be one of those things for you with AT&T. I mean the call is ringing through, your phone is giving you the option and the option appears to be acceptable, just nothing is happening. It at least seems possible that it could be on their end and not yours.
 
I don't remember this issue when I had my Att sim installed, I'll test tommorow.

Thanks. I already have Call Waiting enabled, so that's not it. I do appreciate the response.
