Hello all. I am looking to potentially upgrade to a slightly newer device from my Note 10+. I am looking at the S20+ or the Note 20 Ultra. My consideration is mostly budget and feature related as these are the last Samsung devices to have micro SD card support. The S20+ is currently around 350 on Amazon and the Note 20U is around 500-550. The S20 Ultra is also around 400-450, but given all the camera issues with this device I have heard of, it's not a choice I particularly fancy. From what I have read, the S20+ gives most of the core features from the Ultra without most of the camera issues.

They will still be supported for awhile and for a fairly reasonable price compared to newer devices that I cannot afford and would not go for probably anyways due to loss of certain features in the S21 series and S22 series. So support for me long term isn't really an issue.

So, between the two S20+ and Note 20 Ultra, which one would you/should I go with? I am leaning towards the N20 U, but the price of the S20+ is literally two hundred dollars cheaper.

I can't remember the difference in screens but the primary difference between the devices is S Pen and camera, if those aren't important to you probably best to just save some money since budget is an important factor for you. They have the same SOC and should perform near identical to one another, software and support would also be the same.

I have tried out both devices previously. I picked up the Note 20 Ultra for 486 from Amazon which is considerably less than they used to be. And the fact that it was that low without a trade in is also great, because I can sell my Note 10+ to recoup some of the money if I decide to keep the N20U. I went with mystic black because it was the cheapest one, but I actually wanted to try out that bronze color with the matte finish back. I'm not paying an extra 30-40 dollars for it though lol

They are still selling the N20U for 1000 at my carrier lol What a joke. I don't think I'll ever buy a new phone again.
