I currently have a OnePlus 8 5g, and I'm not in love with it. The OS can be wonky and the pictures suck.

I'm considering the T-Mobile deal to trade in my OnePlus for the s21 5g.

My main concerns are battery life and picture quality.

Should I trade?

Welcome to Android Central! I do believe the picture quality on the S21 is superior to the OnePlus 8's. According to GSM Arena, the Samsung Galaxy S21 has a 4000 mAh whereas the OnePlus 8 has a 4300 mAh battery. On paper the 8 has more staying power but perhaps review videos would give better impressions.

Let us know what you decide!

Welcome to the forums. If you don't mind a polycarbonate back this may be a good deal. The latest chips are meant to be more power efficient than the chip in the OP 8 You will need a power brick though as it doesn't come in the box. Reviews on YouTube seem to favour the cameras on the S21. So it could be a good upgrade for you if you hate the OP 8.

I say get the S21.
OnePlus are the most overrated and overhyped Android phones out there IMO.

I would go with the S21. Even though now they are both alike in terms of missing key components, I have the Oneplus 8 and I hate it. I personally would not purchase another Oneplus device again. I flat out hate Oneplus' Android skin/software.

Even though with Samsung, you don't get expandable memory or a headphone jack like OP, at least you still get other things like being able to use wireless charge and always on display if you want and a wider range of cases/accessories.
