I haven't noticed it when unlocking the device but at least twice now I've noticed it in apps. At the moment I can't say which ones but I'm pretty sure one was the browser and actually they may have both been. Anyway, for me I was scrolling and all of the sudden the screen jumped up and down under my finger. The first time I so caught off guard, not having seen the device do this before, that I didn't have any thought reaction to it. The second time I tried going over the same spot in both directions, hoping that the hardware wasn't damaged in some way, but nothing happened. Both of those happened pretty close together but since then I haven't noticed it do it again.
Looking at the number of other commenters I'd guess not many have noticed or experienced this issue although yours sounds different from mine which raises questions.
Are you using a third party launcher? Nova, Perfect or are you still running stock One UI?
Have you tried the device in Safe Mode to see if the issue happens? If it only happens in regular mode and doesn't happen in safe mode there may be an app to blame. If it happens in both modes there may be a system problem. If it happens regularly enough that you're sure it would happen anytime you unlock or you know if you unlock 5 or 6 times is should happen at least once, I would take the time to try Safe Mode.
Let us know what you find.
Update: After some thought I think the other time was YouTube. I can't think of any other apps that I scroll in like I was scrolling when I remember this happening....
