Hi,

I bought a Samsung Galaxy s21 Ultra, genuine out of box sealed but wasn't until turning on that I established it is for the Korea region.

Being in the UK, could can anyone tell me what concerns this may cause me or can it be changed for the UK?

Seller didn't mention the region is was for/from.

Thanks in advance.

There are 4 different firmware versions for Korea.

What is your devices CSC code?

To locate this, go to...

Settings > About phone > Software information > Service provider software version (see screenshot)

Thanks for your response.
It's SAOMC_SM-G998N_OKR_KOO_RR_0015

KOO = Stock, non-carrier branded, CSC code for Korea.

It is a country minority variant specifically for the Korean market with the Snapdragon chipset as opposed to the worldwide model which runs on the Samsung's own Exynos chipset.

The good news is that it is compatible with most of the U.K's core bands for 5G, 4G/LTE, 3G and 2G. See...

You, "should", receive OTA, (Over The Air), updates for your model and CSC code but if not, you can manually download and install the firmware using the PC suite, Odin. See...

There will be some Korean bloatware, (apps, settings, features), which you may not be able to use, (Wi-Fi calling for instance, has been mentioned), outside of Korea.

You cannot convert the Korean S21 Ultra, (G998N), to the U.K. model, (G998B).

Hope that helps!

Interesting to see a Korean grey market import in the UK, they're usually from Eastern Europe.

As ironass says, it should work fine but you'll probably lose a couple of features (I don't think the Korean model is dual SIM for example), and it's important you know your warranty is probably nonexistent.

I bought a NA version from eBay, i live in Canada will that have warranty.
Its brand new.

Do you mean the, "N", model, SM-G99*N, for Korea. If so, see the Canadian warranty information under, "Overseas Product Service Policy", here...

The Korean N version is not for sale by Samsung anywhere but Korea and is therefore considered a, "Grey Market", product if purchased elsewhere.

Only thing if something goes wrong and under warranty you have to ship.it to Samsung US division can't go to local.Candian Samsung experience shop. Save receipts

Been using my Ultra 3 days now and so far am i impressed.
I thought it would be bigger but compared to the LG Velvet I have the physical height of the device is shorter which I really like.
The screen is beautiful and not to curved, I like curved screens and this is literally perfect for me. Battery life for me probably never will be that long because of cell service not the best in this area especially inside, that really makes the phone use alot more.
I took some pictures of the moon and wow that's the camera I've been waiting for.
I got the phantom titanium color 256 gig.
