My good lady wife has the S21 Ultra 5g. She actually let me inspect it. I have the Note 10+, and for me mine is the better of the two, so, I personally think the Note 10 is the better for lots of reasons that all can see online. Lets see what comes with the Note 21.

Let's hope there is a note 21 first. Very few leaks and rumors on it.

I agree with you though, if you have a note 10+ or note 20 ultra there's no reason to upgrade to the S21 series, in fact could be a downgrade when it comes to reality and what options the notes have versus the S21 series

Now that Samsung has basically confirmed that there won't be a new note until 2022, I'm curious what your thoughts are.
I am thinking about getting either the Note 20 Ultra or the S21 Ultra while I wait for the next Note.
My wife recently got the S21 Ultra and it is an impressive phone. Only down side is the lack of SD card support but everything else is better than the Note 10+ and the 20U. The Note 20 is a Note but is not much of an upgrade from the 10+ and at the current going price, the S21U seems to be a better deal.

Myself, I would go with the note 20U. It has SD card support and the Spen comes with the phone and is built in the phone, not a $40 accessory, $70 if you want the case to hold the Spen. Even if you only use the Spen a little bit, that is even more of a reason to get the note, the Spen is built in to the phone, less of a chance to lose it, plus the note Spen has bluetooth support.

Comes down to if you want access to a built in Spen, and a SD card slot. If you don't want those, then the S21U probably good choice. My father in law has a s21+ and he likes it, but he came from the S7, so anything would have been an improvement over that phone.

Not to mention, there is no indication that samsung is releasing a note 22, they just said in the article that they are going to continue with Spen development, that doesn't mean it's in the form of a note phone. It's samsung, it seems to be a rollercoaster ride all the time, so it's a wait and see game now.

I agree. The Note 20U is the most obvious choice especially as it supports SD cards. I've used a little bit more than half of my 256gb internal storage on my Note 10+ so I would either have to do some spring cleaning or opt for the 512gb model.
Samsung's co-CEO has confirmed there will be a new Note next year so I hope they stop skimping on specs given the price we pay for a flagship device. To me 256gb out the box should be the minimum storage and SD card support a must. The N20U was just a marginal upgrade from the N10+, with less internal storage, which is why I initially skipped that model.

Looks like I am going to wait until 2022, unless I have a rush of blood to the brainbox. Seriously though I'm quite at home with my Note 10+.

I am also at home with my Note 10+ but being one who would upgrade every year, the itch is on. I chose to skip the Note 20U for this year's Note but seeing there won't be one......... .

Personally I prefer the design of the Note than the one of the S line.
The built in S Pen is also the reason to go for the Note 20.
Most probably I will stay with the Note 10+ till next year.
My phone still works as new and I don't see any battery life reduction.

Well with the latest announcement from Samsung we'll have to wait for the Note 22 Ultra next year. I'll wait for it. My Note 10 Plus is working great.

Yeah and the 12 GB RAM/256 GB Internal storage. Stick with it. I recently ordered an S21 Plus and a Note 10 Plus. The 21 will be going back. Not only is it cheaper and not even two years old yet, but I feel like there is very little compromise in the 10 plus except for the headphone jack. With S21, your losing SD card, headphone jack AND in box charger. For the price of 800-1000 dollars, thats way too much.

Welcome to 2021...when we have to consider what features we will miss least in order to justify an "upgrade".

You're forgetting that the S21 Plus also lacks an indwelling S Pen.

True. I am not a heavy S Pen user though so that's why I tend to forget. I do like having it around though.
