That's always been possible since Samsung enabled eSIMs. But until now, only 1 eSIM can be active at a time, so I'm wondering if that has changed with the S24 series.Or could u do 1 esim & one physical sim?
I think it's still the same one sim or Esim card at a time can use both not active same time , at least US versionThat's always been possible since Samsung enabled eSIMs. But until now, only 1 eSIM can be active at a time, so I'm wondering if that has changed with the S24 series.
If your first phone is currently using an eSIM already, then you can put the physical SIM from your second phone into the first phone and end up with both lines being active at the same time on the first phone.Do i need to do anything, or would it brme as simple as taking the simcard out of my 2nd phone and putting it in my s24 ultra? Like can i just put the simcard in, restart the phone, and now i get the calls from both phones on one device? Also, can u set a seperate ringtone for esch so u know which line calls are coming to?
Thank you. Lots of useful info there!Unfortunately no two eSIMs at once, at least not active. You can forward all calls to the other eSIM but need to manually switch between them.
As others have mentioned, a physical SIM and eSIM can be active at the same time. One thing worth mentioning is Google Messages will only allow the primary SIM to be your RCS number.
If you have a carrier locked model, you can use Samsung Messages and have dual-sim RCS.
Also few extra tidbits. If you use Samsung Contacts at least once you can set a default SIM on a per contact basis. There is also a shortcut (you need a shortcut manager or I think temporarily using Google Dialer) you can access the sub menu to always ask which SIM to make a call from for non-contacts and contacts that you didn't assign a SIM to instead of using the primary SIM.
