I have my favorite color blue S23 U. I have not decided if I will upgrade. My 2 prior phones were white. So if I upgrade the violet/purple

Samsung usually has a few custom colors on their website, not available through other retailers. The red, "orange tint" color, is usually available.

Keep in mind that the S24U silver color titanium case will show micro scratches much easier than steel or aluminum. The titanium is strong but soft. Even in the case, since the phone moves slightly within a case. For some reason black titanium case doesn't show this wear at the same rate as silver, unless you made a deep scratch or a dent.
I had a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro in black for a year without a case or screen protector and was surprised to see no signs of wear on the outside of the watch body when I traded it in. My coworker has the same watch in silver titanium and within a few weeks the watch body had very visible micro scratches.
So, whatever finish method Samsung is using with black titanium, is very durable. That is why I will go with classic black S24U.

I am torn between the violet and that lovely cream color.

If I do purchase a s24 Ultra, my first choice would be Violet, second choice would be the Grey.


Of course, once the phone case goes on, the color doesn't much matter.

I always put a heavy duty case on my phone and believe you me, those cases have paid for themselves many times over, saving my phone completely from drops. I like Ghostek because their cases have a clear back and at least some of the color can show through.

My first white device was the Pixel 8 Pro. Imo, the porcelain color with the champagne gold trim was unmatched. I planned to get a white S24U, but alas, that's not an option.

It really goes to show how different people are... I can't think of a colour combo that i would want less than white and gold lol.

Porcelain with champagne gold trim sounds gorgeous !

My first white device was a Galaxy s5. Pretty basic by today's standard, but I enjoyed it!
