I recently got the galaxy SIII and a couple days later i updated it to 4.1.2 but I can't find multi window anywhere. I looked everywhere I read a million threads and tutorials but its not in my drop down menu or in my display settings. its like it didn't even update. What's going on or what can i do get it?

That is the gayest thing ever.... verizin has crappy everything. I'm completely convinced.

You can always root and flash another rom, they have it working on quite a few of them now.

Multi Window works if you are viewing a video

--Tapatalk 2 on SGS3.

The update for all the goodies in the "premium suite" has yet to be released for our phones.

Good luck with that...Service is sub par compared to Verizon.

Have to strongly disagree with that (in my area anyway) I have Sprint for work service and it is horrible and left Verizon for AT&T due to service issues.

I downloaded the update but after rebooting I get the following error:

System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your phone. Please turn off your phone and go to the nearest Verizon Wireless store for help.

I can not get the phone to reboot without this error coming up. Any suggestions please?

Have you applied custom ROMs on your phone prior to updating? That's the message from the locked bootloader.

I had that happen beause I had rooted my phone, but left the boot locked. The first thing I tried was using voodoo rootkeeper to save my root, and then tried to take the OTA update...after downloading the update, it booted into TWRP recovery that I had installed, and I didn't know what to do from there at the time. Since then, I've heard that you should use the TWRP recovery to install the downloaded update image, but didn't know that at the time, so I just rebooted from there and got "update failed" (gee, I wonder why *smile*). The next thing I tried was writing the 4.1.2 image and modem update to my phone, and installing them via TWRP. This was good until I tried to reboot *smile*, at which time I got the dreaded yellow Verizon triangle. At that point, I realized that happened since I hadn't unlocked the boot on my phone, just rooted it. I could have (most likely) installed the 4.1.2 unlocked boot at that point and things would have been fine, but I didn't do that.

So...I happen to have the stock 4.1.1 full factory image lying around *smile*, all 1.2GB of it. I wrote that to my phone using Odin. which restored my phone to pure stock. Then I could take the OTA update to 4.1.2, which worked fine. Rooted that, and remembered to unlock my boot this time as well as rooting, and things are good again.

Just one note...I couldn't turn my phone off with the yellow triangle on it, so to get to Odin, I just did the usual "boot to Odin mode" with the yellow triangle showing, and that worked. So, to get to Odin download mode, you don't have to turn your phone off if the yellow triangle is showing. It occurred to me afterwards, that I could probably have pulled my battery, and put it back in, and that would have turned my phone off, but I didn't think of that at the time.

So, I took the long road, but back with a 4.1.2 phone, rooted with unlocked boot. The other advantage of unlocked boot is that I don't see the "Custom" with the unlocked padlock symbol every time I boot, it looks like a normal boot.

Now I'm looking for the full 4.1.2 stock image, in case I need to quickly bring my phone back to 4.1.2 factory stock...haven't found that yet, it may not be avvailable quite yet.

Multi Window is a feature in 4.2; this update is 4.1.2

I'm running stock 4.1.1 (uk) and I have multi window....can't edit apps on the available list tho

**Sorry...just realised s3 thread, not note 2 !
