S3 acting very slow

The last couple days my Galaxy S3 has seemed to be slow, sending text, swiping through pages ect. Today it started turning off by itself. I have been able to restart it but whenever I touch the power button to open lock screen it turns off. Now it wont turn on at all. Does a little vibrate thing but thats it. Not sure if the 2 problems are related?

Plug in the charger and leave it undisturbed for 24 hours. It could be a dead battery. It could also be condensation in the phone (common in cold weather) that does the same damage as getting the phone wet. Or it could be that something (like the motherboard) went bad.
