I dont have my S3...yet. but i have several users in our main office in Miami who have one and they posed a weird/interesting question to me that I just did not know how to answer.

I am the Net Admin so I know our infrustructure pretty well.

When users are in our boca office with AP's throughout the office they tell me the battery by end of day is usually still in the 60 to 70% range using our private WIFI. Little usage just deleted a few emails and that was it.

When they are in our main office in Miami where all of our WIFI gear is. By end of day the S3 are in the 0 to 10% range. Normally i would attribute this to usage but what are the chance that 3 different users are having the same exact issue.

Does anyone know of or have heard of anything like this??

Havent heard anything like that myself. I know when I am at home on WiFi I dont think I use any more than when Im at work and not on WiFi. Im sitting at 73% with light usage but off the charger for 11 hours. This is so much better than my Gnex where Id be at 50% or less by end of the day with light usage.

The Boca office has better WiFi coverage with fewer dead spots than the Miami office??? There is better/stronger LTE coverage at the Boca office so when the WiFi signal disappears the phone doesn't have to search and locks in on a good LTE signal???

I would lean towards this thought. Weak signal chews up battery like nothing else.

Yes sir. My phone drops almost 25% in an hour sometimes in a weak/no signal area from no use, just sitting on my desk. But moving my phone 2 feet closer to the window on my desk gives me a tiny bit more signal, enough to not drain my battery.
