Hello! I have a S3 that refuses to work properly. Whenever I try to turn it on it gets stuck on the screen that shows the S3 model (it's a GT-I9300). I tried using the recovery mode and set a factory reset, but as soon as it starts, it just reboots the phone and freezes. What can I do? It's rooted, but it never gave me any problem until this happened.

Can you get into download mode (volume down, power, and home) so that you can hopefully flash a ROM with Odin?

From an AOSP M8

If the phone will boot into Download mode then you can either use the Kies software to reload the stock firmware or you can use a tool called Odin to manually load whichever firmware you want (either a rooted custom firmware or the stock firmware [which you can find here - examine the region code for your country/carrier]).

Thanks for the help. I've tried with Kies but it's stuck in "connecting" and then asks me to reboot the device. Even then, in the "Firmware Upgrade and Initialisation" it seems it doesn't support my model s/n. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Writing in all caps helped the app identify my model. Either way I'm going to give a try to the Odin method you mentioned. Luckily in that page they have my country (Argentina)! I'm gonna give it a try and then I'll let you know.

No dice.

This is the error I get whenever I try to use that firmware. I'm using Odin 3.09 downloaded from sammobile.com
Phone is in download mode, added the firmware to ap/pda, and made sure repartition is not checked.

cosasvarias were u able to figure out how to turn this FAIL into PASS.. i am getting exactly same NAND Write Start then FAIL msg
