S3 Drivers not recognized

[AC Question]

I have had my Galaxy S3 for a year and a half.For the past 3 months, whenever I connect my phone to my laptop (to any of the USB hubs, have tried different cords, etc), it does not read the device, saying that the drivers were unable to install. It does not appear in My Computer. The laptop (i have an Acer, if that helps) still charges my phone when connected. I have had two I.T. guys from work look at both devices several times, and they manage to get it working until the 2nd time I go to try it. We recently reformatted my laptop to it's original state, which after that Kies won't even let me use the wireless option because it cannot connect to/read the device via USB (unless there is another way I just can't figure it out).

I am worried I have to buy a new phone, all I want to do is update my music! Hopefully someone out there has had this issue!

Even though Kies should be doing this, but have you uninstalled and installed the most up to date drivers?

Also what OS (Windows?) are you running?
