s3 i9305 tethering

so i own a note , been using it since it came out ( here in Hong Kong )

recently i decided to buy a s3 ( 2nd gen quad core , 2 gig ram 4G LTE )

my main issue is when i tetherer the s3 with hotspot so my laptop can enjoy some internet , it picks it up all looks and seems normal except the internet is not availabell.

i know my sim is on 3g plan so i manualy forced the s3 to not go on 4g and it has internet just fine with decent 3g speed .

but nothing at all on my laptop.... i had to pull the sim out of my brand new s3 put it back into the note just to write this....

this really sucks i want to sell off my note and keep on using the s3 ... but i need to tether my connection , i am paying for unlimied data plan and i plan to use every inch of it...

any help or advise welcomed

try a tethering app like Foxfi instead of the native tethering mate.
maybe the carrier doesnt allow tethering but Foxfi aparently over-rides that
