S3 Mini doesnot keepe-mails

My S3 is linked to my e-mail account so I can sort mails when out of office. I have had to reload my e-mail on my laptop due to a technical problem (Anti Virus update). Now my S3 receives an e-mail and once I have opened it, it automatically deletes it. This is frustrating as it used to keep the 25 most recent e-mails. I have tried my service providers who are unable to solve my problem. Please help!
