S3 Mini is T-Mobile Galaxy Light?

Is the S3 Mini the same phone as T-Mobile's Galaxy Light?

I just ordered the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Light. From looking at the dimensions of the phone, the length and width of the phone appear to be identical, but the depth has a 0.02" difference (the Light being the thinner of the two). As far as the rest of the phone goes, the Light has a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor versus the S3 Mini's 1.2GHz Dual–core, the Light can only handle up to a 32 gig SD card versus the S3 Mini taking up to a 64 Gig and the one thing that's a little harder to measure (due to how it's stated on T-mobile's vs. Verizon's websites) "Talk Time" on the Light is "12.5 hours (19.16 days standby)" versus the S3 Mini's "Usage Time" at "up to 19 hours (11.6 days standby)". They both have Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, 5MP Rear-facing camera, AF with LED Flash and VGA Front-racing camera, NFC capabilities and 4G LTE. For the purposes of ordering a protective case on my phone, I just went ahead and ordered one that is supposed to fit the S3 Mini since I don't see much out there for the Light and I can't see 0.02" causing that big of an issue on the fit of the case, though we'll see when I receive both the phone and the case in a few days. Screen protectors should seemingly fit just fine as the dimensions in that aspect appear to be the same. Hopefully all of that info helps you.

Home Shopping Network (HSN.com) has been offering a great deal on this phone: $149.95 (no contract) plus accessories bundle & sim. T-Mobile is currently selling the phone for $240 (+$10 sim) on their website, so the savings via HSN is significant.

I got my aunt, who is not at all tech savvy and needed a cell phone upgrade from her Samsung Gravity Smart, to take advantage of this deal. Judging by the specs, it's a really nice budget phone, especially for those who aren't heavy users or looking for a decent entry level smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Light supports up to 64gb Micro sd like the s3 mini not up to 32gb as you posted.
It is currently available @ QVC & Amazon for $150 (Price has gone to $199 on HSN and is $240 from T-Mobile USA directly, interestingly T-Mobile Puerto Rico offers it for $120 off contract or free on contract)

So does the s3 mini cases fit the Galaxy Light? The s3 mini cases have more variety.

I'm more curious whether or not they are the same jus slated for different carriers as I need to replace the LCD/Digitizer on a Galaxy Light T399 and can't find crap online to do so. BUT there are tons for the S3 mini. Wonder if they are compatible for replacement. Can't seem to get any definitive answers online. If anyone happens to know... hollah! Aloha!

Were you ever able to see if they are the same?? i cant find a lcd screen for my galaxy light either.

I'm curious about the case as well. I bought an awesome case for my girlfriends galaxy light, and she prefers smaller phones so this Christmas I plan on getting her an s3 mini. I figure I can hope for the best but if I know it won't fit then I have to go and find the new one. I like to make it all perfect for her
