S3 screen went black and now I can't get my pics on my computer. HELP PLEASE

My screen went black about 2 days ago and like a genius I didn't have all of my pictures saved to my memory card. I have 1100+ of pictures of my nephew that I don't want to lose! When I connect my phone to my laptop I select that I want to import my photos and videos but then my computer says no photos/videos found. I tried to just view them so I could drag and drop, and it says I have no photos. I also tried to install the driver that it said was missing and for some reason it wouldn't install. What do I do? Is there something the sprint store could do to transfer the photos to the new phone I'm getting like they do with the contacts? Are my photos lost forever?

You could try using the Kies software on your computer to backup the information on the phone: contacts, SMS/MMS, pictures/videos (only what's stored on the internal memory), call logs, TouchWiz settings, etc.

If you're getting a replacement S3 you might also consider http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009QW3TBK...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU3676365 which would allow you to display the phone on your TV/monitor and use a USB mouse/keyboard for navigation.
