s3 stuck at "starting apps" after firmwire update to jelly bean

hi guys upgraded to jelly bean today and phone has been stuck at "starting apps" for the longest while. any ideas?

was it official update or did you flash it mate?

yeah it was an offical. but when i used odin i installed it as "phone" rather than "pda" when i reinstall as pda it works just fine.
