S4 says I have less free space than I do

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 Active; its 16 gb. With apps and system files the amount of space used should not be anything more than 8 gb. This is because I store EVERYTHING in my 64 gb sd card; photos videos books and music.

Has this happened to anyone?

From 16 gb I only have 800 mb free, and I try finding files that could be taking over extra space but nothing.

Any ideas?

Fixed.
It was on DCIM folder. A hidden folder called ".thumbnails" it had around 7gb on useless files!
Erased it with "file manager" app. Has a red folder as app icon. Other file apps wouldnt erase the folder.
