s4 thinking its in a phone call

My phone keeps thinking its in a phone call when its not. When I try to play music "google play music" will work when it thinks its in a phone call but it plays out of the speaker that u use for a normal phone call not the back speaker phone. i have done the latest update. does anyone else have this problem? if so what do i do about it? thank you!

Just to test whether the back speaker is working at all, try an actual phone call with the back speaker activated and see if it works. If it doesn't work for that, it may be an internal connection fault to the speaker.
