S5 goes dark and wont turn on unless battery is removed and replaced

This only happens when I leave it in the car over night. The phone will be dark and won't restart unless I remove and replace the battery.
This does not happen if I bring it in the house and let it sit. Battery level shows around 50% this morning after leaving in the car overnight but the same story, can turn on unless the battery is removed.
I have the zero lemon battery extender in it.

Well I guess the first question to ask is...where do you live? Extreme hot or cold can have a horrible effect on not just batteries, but electronics in general. I would bet if you stopped leaving it in your car over night you'd never see that problem again.

Southern California. It might get into the low 50's or high 40's overnite.

It only happens when I leave it in the car overnite, never any other time.

Well, if u were going to leave my phone in a car anywhere in the US it would be in SoCal! Not sure what to tell you if it's not temperature related. Do you leave it on or charging in your car overnight?

No, just left it on but black screen. It has happened every time I have left it in the car over night.
