My phone was doing what I wanted it to until I downloaded something from Verizon. Before the download, before opening the phone, I could see if new emails, texts, & FB posts were waiting for me. I could set an email update schedule that would check for new email every 15 minutes (or 30, 60, etc). Now, having done that download, what I see at the top of the opening screen, (and this is before I do the "open phone action" whether swipe, fingerprint, etc) are the words Verizon Wireless and I no longer have the option to set and email update schedule. Instead, I have to manually ask for it to look for new email. So, having Verizon as a provider, do I want to remove this change to my S5? Can I remove this change and restore what I had in the beginning? If yes, how do I go about that?
By the way, I am a novice phone user. I make phone calls, check email, and send texts. I use Google maps to guide me to the store
and Google search occasionally to look up some stuff.
