s5 os showing 85%

With the screen taking 3%, it's safe to assume you are not doing anything so yeah this looks right to me

That's still significant battery drain if the phone has been on standby the whole time. Does this persist if you reboot?

Wait until the battery is down to 20-30%, then show us the following screenshots:

1. The main Battery stats.
2. The fullscreen battery graph, to see the Awake time and Cell Signal Strength.
3. The Screen category, to see the screen-on time.
4. The Cell Standby category (if present), to see the Time without Signal.

Oh snap, I didn't even see the battery percentage......yeah at 6 or 7 hours I am still in the high 80's and maybe even in the low 90's....something is not quite right here...my bad...sorry,.

I'd bet the signal strength is weak and the device spends it time trying to stay connected. Sort of the same issue if you leave Bluetooth on and your not near a Bluetooth device to connect to.

No, charge it up to 100%, then use it normally until it's down to 20-30%. Then show us the screenshots I asked for previously.

Ok this what I got today

Looks better. It'd be good to tap that Cell Standby category and see how much Time without Signal you've had--that's an indicator of poor signal, which can contribute to battery drain. When it was running down quickly, it's possible you were spending more time in a dead zone.

Thanks for the help, usually im at work from 7:30am to 6:00 pm using wifi at my job....then in between I drove for coffee and road test cars and im out of my wifi....I usually get 20 hours or 24 on single charge
